What are nutraceuticals?
Nutraceuticals are medical grade prescription supplements used to support health and well being, support optimal hormone production, and promote healthy thyroid function.
Why not just take an over-the-counter supplment?
OTC supplements are not regulated or tested for quality or potency. Most have low manufacturing standards which reduces safety and efficacy. Due to lack of oversight and regulation, dosing may not meet the label claim. Many dietary supplements may contain unapproved ingredients, including illegal substances.
Why is supplementation important?
Supplementation with nutraceuticals provides high quality supplements that are bio-available for your body to make the most of its needed vitamins and nutrients not obtained through diet.
What if I have leaky gut?
Probiotic supplementation is a perfect support for leaky gut. Leaky gut occurs when there is dysbiosis or an imbalance in the gut bacteria. This is most commonly due to the Standard American Diet consisting of ultraprocessed foods, high fat, high sugar intake. However, chronic PPI use (protonix, nexium, etc) can also influence gut bacteria. Symptoms may include seasonal allergies, chronic fatigue, digestive problems (bloating, IBS, IBD), PMS/PCOS, GERD, vaginal or rectal itching, candida overgrowth, inflammation, and more.
