Direct Primary Care
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a unique medical model that offers the patient personalized and high quality care. DPC allows the patient and provider to form a close relationship that follows them throughout the lifespan. Our practice is focused on preventative medicine and holistic care. We combine Western medicine for treatment of acute issues while focusing on holistic care for preventative benefits. Holistic care may involve the use of nutraceutricals, dietary recommendations, hormonal optimization, and treatment of underlying thyroid dysfunction. Gleaux Rx Wellness is able to manage chronic diseases as well as treat acute illnesses of typical primary care practices.
How does DPC benefit patients?
DPC allows the practice to limit the number of patients seen resulting in more personalized care. We focus on preventative medicine, supplementation with nutraceuticals, and lifestyle changes. However, we also have the ability to treat acute ailments typical of any primary care as well as chronic disease management.
DPC allows patient to see their provider regularly without long waits, often same day or next-day appointments. Membership includes unlimited visits, as often as needed without a co-pay. It also comes with direct access to their provider's cell phone to be able to text or call.
DPC drives down healthcare costs by improving access, increasing health screenings, and providing better quality care.
What is covered under a DPC plan? Can I use my insurance?
DPC plans include unlimited office visits, direct contact with your provider via text or call, decreased pricing on outpatient testing including imaging and labs. Some medications are also available through our office or by using GoodRx for a reduced price.
DPC does not replace an insurance plan. Insurance will still be needed for hospitalizations and some specialist referrals. Insurance is not accepted for office memberships, but may be used towards labs or imaging or other tests. However, many patients find our negotiated cash price to be much lower than their insurance co-pays and deductibles.
For example, we have contracted with Quest to bring patients affordable wellness labs including CBC, CMP, Lipid panel, A1c, Vit D, and Vit B12 for less than $90.
CT scans and MRIs are able to be obtained much quicker and at a fraction of the cost due to not needing insurance approval. CTs can usually be obtained for less than $500 and MRIs less than $700. Not only is this more cost effective, but it improves the speed at which we are able to arrive at a diagnosis as we are not delayed by insurance.
How much does DPC cost?
Our DPC program starts at $125/month for membership and we have family plans available as well.
We are also able to provide care to small businesses who need coverage for their employees.
